From ASSOCOMAPLAST's web site it is possible to get orientative information about the plastics and rubber machinery sector and news about the Association's activity, the MACPLAS magazine, the Center for training and technical assistance CESAP etc.. In the members' area - reserved to the 171 companies that join ASSOCOMAPLAST - detailed information and statistical data about 80 foreign markets, flash about request of machines and equipments, updating about the promotional and exhibiting sectoral activity are available. PLASTIC MACHINERY: Founded in 1960, ASSOCOMAPLAST, a non-profit Association, now represents 171 Member companies, the most important Italian plastics and rubber machinery, ancillary equipment and moulds manufacturers. The list of Member companies, subdivided as per name and classification, is available at page "Members' List". The main aim of ASSOCOMAPLAST is to promote the knowledge and the circulation of the plastics and rubber processing technologies on the Italian and foreign markets. Through its commercial company PROMAPLAST srl, ASSOCOMAPLAST publishes the technical magazine MACPLAS and MACPLAS INTERNATIONAL which, with a total circulation of 51,000 copies in 6 different editions, ensures the world market coverage. Moreover, PROMAPLAST organizes the triennial regional exhibition MACPLAS, in Bari, and gives an organizing support to the triennial event SAMUPLAST, organized by Pordenone Fiere. Furthermore, ASSOCOMAPLAST owns 100% of ENFIPLAST (Plastics and Rubber Exhibitions Body) with the aim of organising the international exhibition PLAST (next event in February 14-18, 2006). Moreover ASSOCOMAPLAST, through the company CESAP (Centre for the Development of Plastics Applications), technically supports the research and the development of new processing technologies and new materials, the assistance to ISO certification etc.. Finally ASSOCOMAPLAST, on behalf of UNI (Italian Institute for Standardization), runs the Technical Committee "CEN/TC 145", which draws up European safety standards for plastics and rubber machinery. ASSOCOMAPLAST is Member of CONFINDUSTRIA and EUROMAP.
